CEDIA Denver 2008: Day -1

Before any good trip, there are a few necessary evils that must be dealt with. The one that drives me nuts the most is packing.

For this particular trip to Denver, I will be gone for about 10 days. That's a lot of clothes. I also ALWAYS get stuck dragging along some last minute items that will be used for training, or at our booth. This years list was small: a TPT1210-1, Phillips Pronto and a Nuvo remote. Thankfully I was able to get it all packed up just fine, even without having to use the expansion zipper.

One big pile of clothes, toiletries,  and equipment + One large suitcase =

After running afoul of Delta in times past, and giving this bag a quick heft I was a bit worried that I would have to pay the 'oversized/overweight' baggage fee, which is $50 I don't want to spend!  Unfortunately for me the closest scale is all the way upstairs, and I don't feel like lugging this guy that far.

Thankfully, we have Wii Fit.

Meet Suitcase, my 2  year old 3' tall newest member of the Wii Plaza.  Let's set him on the scale and.......

Oh no!  Obese!  My worst fears are coming true...

Oh, this is better.  Apparently 43.7 lbs ranks as obese at the 3 foot tall mark.  Glad to know I won't be out any unnecessary money this trip.

I leave tomorrow at 8:15 AM and will return on the 7th.  Sadly, I will only be in town for 2 days before I head off again, this time to Sydney and Gold Coast Australia.
